LoRayne Logan, Tony Turner and Members Alliance Credit Union named 2019 Recipients!
On Friday, October 18, 2019 Crusader Community Health announced the 2019 Spirit of Caring Recipients at the annual Evening of Caring gala.
LoRayne Logan – 2019 Spirit of Caring Recipient
LoRayne is the owner of workplace and known for championing causes she believes in. She is dedicated to service, specifically where she can help engage others in forward momentum. The sheer quantity of her board service is enormous; but it is the quality of her service to those boards and organizations that sets her apart. She has dedicated many years to focusing on impact and helping align and mobilize people and resources in strategic ways.
Antonio “Tony” Turner – 2019 Spirit-of-the Future Recipient
Tony is the owner of Conscious Coaching, a mentoring and behavioral health organization. He is the president of the Black Student Union at Rock Valley College, as well as the Education and Housing Chair of the Rockford area chapter of the NAACP. The Black Student Graduation and Back to School Summit are two recent examples of Tony’s commitment to students and their leadership development.
Members Alliance Credit Union – 2019 Spirit of Caring Organization
Members Alliance Credit Union has five local branches and promotes a strong culture of service. Each year, branches organize employees for service projects throughout the community and collect donations to benefit organizations in need. There are 80 employees actively engaged in these efforts.
Crusader Community Health Foundation initiated the SPIRIT OF CARING AWARDS in 1992 to honor special people in our community who demonstrated outstanding efforts in caring for others. This is the 27th anniversary of giving the Spirit of Caring Awards. In 2007, we added caring organizations to the award categories. Five years ago, we added the SPIRIT-OF-THE-FUTURE Award to honor persons under age 40 for their caring efforts.
We’d like to thank all the people who took the time to submit nomination forms. We know this is time consuming and effort. All nominees have special gifts and talents. We are lucky to have each of you in our community!
