Clinical Applications Specialist

Position Summary:

The Clinical Applications Specialist is responsible for helping implement, maintain, and optimize the clinic’s applications. This includes monitoring/addressing issues that arise daily, developing/delivering well-crafted trainings, and executing change requests for end users. This position also works with the Electronic Medical Record/Practice Management (EMR/PM) Manager to troubleshoot clinical application problems. In addition, this role provides analytical expertise to Information-Systems employees with the overall objective of improving the use of application functionality (i.e., enhance workflows, optimize business processes, and identify appropriate systems solutions).

Education:

  • Associate’s degree required
  • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in a technology or health care field preferred

Experience:

  • At least two years of experience in a healthcare Information Technology/Health Information Management environment
  • Experience training in a complex organization
  • Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot complex issues

Knowledge of:

  • Microsoft Office
  • EMR/ eClinicalWorks preferred
  • General office devices
  • Adobe Captivate
  • Learning Management System
