Cosmopolitan Club celebrates milestone with $10,000 Contribution.

The Cosmopolitan Club of Rockford presented a $10,000 check to Crusader Community Health. The local Cosmopolitan Club chapter is celebrating its 65th anniversary, and for 20 years it’s partnered with Crusader. The check was presented at the organizations 65th Anniversary Dinner on February 1, 2014 at Forest Hills Country Club in Rockford.

The Cosmopolitan Club is known for its fight against diabetes. In the last 20 years Crusader Clinic has been able to help thousands of people in the Rockford area manage the disease thanks to the clubs more than $450,000 in donations.

“It’s hard work, but it is a lot of fun. We’re not a very formal club; we have 200 hardworking fellows who have a lot fun. We like to do a lot of things. For example, we had a trap shooting even last week so we do a lot of fun things, but we do it in the name of charity,” Cosmopolitan Club President Dr. Kris Tumilowicz, said.

Besides Crusader Community Health, the club also supports the Boy and Girl Scouts and First Tee of Rockford.
