Kinzinger Visits Crusader
US 16th Congressional District Rep Tours Alpine Facility

Adam Kinzinger, US Representative for Illinois’ 16th Congressional District, visited Crusader Community Health on Alpine Monday, October 30, 2017. The purpose of the visit was to tour the recently opened Crusader facility and discuss the impact of Community Health Centers in Illinois and throughout the country.
Gordon Eggers Jr., Crusader President & CEO, as well as some of the Crusader management team met with Kinzinger. In addition to his role at Crusader, Eggers is the board chairman of the Illinois Primary Health Care Association (IPHCA). The IPHCA is an association of 51 health centers in Illinois, with 360 sites and 1.3 million patients.
The after-tour discussion included the ongoing need for quality primary healthcare on a local, regional and state basis, as well as federal funding sources to keep community health centers viable within the communities they serve.
Crusader Community Health operates eight facilities in Rockford, Belvidere, Loves Park and South Beloit, Illinois.
